The great tank battles of the Yom Kippur War of 1973

On October 6, 1973, during Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the Jewish calendar, a Syrian and Egyptians armored force began a coordinated surprise assault along the Israeli-Syrian border in the Golan Heights in the north of Israel, and along the Suez Canal in the south of Israel. Suddenly Israel had to fight a two-front war.
